If you have a very good command of the German language and extensive experience in the field of IMC, intensive care and/or anaesthesia, we would be happy to provide you with a job opportunity in the corresponding wards in hospitals here in Stuttgart. During a job shadowing in a ward, you and your supervisor will be able to assess whether you are suitable for the job. Working in a clinic ward is a better paid job, which, however, poses a real challenge. Few employees stood up to it.
Your responsibilities in an intensive care unit:
- Support of local staff
- Basic care and nursing procedures of patients in need of intensive care
- Equipment monitoring, including respirator
- Assistance with therapeutic and diagnostic measures
- Implementation of infusion therapies
- Participating in and preparing of ward rounds
- Complying with hygiene requirements
- Keeping records
- Psychosocial support of patients and their families
You responsibilities in the anaesthesia care unit:
- Preparing and positioning of patients
- Assistance in intubation, local and block anaesthesia
- Assistance in placing central venous and peridural catheters
- Monitoring during surgical procedures
- Postoperative monitoring in the anaesthetic recovery room
- Maintaining technical equipment and consumables
- Complying with hygiene requirements
- Keeping records
Your profile:
- Completed specialist training: Qualified nurse or caregiver
- Excellent command of German, including technical terms
- Specialist training as a nurse for the anaesthesia and intensive care units is desirable, but not necessary.
- At least 6 months experience in an intensive care unit and/or anaesthesia department in the hospital.
- Being able to work both independently and in a team
- Social and communicative competence
- Sense of responsibility
- Reliability
